Definition of a self-published author:  A writer who has used the same time, energy and hard work that any well-known author uses to produce works of poetry or fiction for your enjoyment; but has not been ‘accepted’ by traditional publishers for publication, some have not even been read by these publishers. The Self-Published author has taken it into their own hands to publish, market and promote their own works; and using their own money to do so.
