Right now I’m torn and don’t know what to do

You see I’ve got these deep feelings inside for you

As of right now I’m just your sometimes lover

Because rightfully you’ve promised yourself to another

She’s been a huge part of your life for some time now

And you care for her even though she treats you foul

In my arms you find the comfort you need

When she takes your generosity and turns it into her greed

What you offer her is never enough she wants more

And you still give knowing you’d get more gratitude from an everyday whore

I am the one who stays awake late to talk to you on the phone

Cause when we’re not together we don’t want to be alone

You hint that you want to let her go

And say it’s easier said than done, this I know

Lunches and dinners and movies we share

Friends we are, but there is so much more there

How much longer will it take you to see

That maybe what you have with her isn’t meant to be

I know all the fighting with her is getting old

Be patient and wait things out is what I’m told

I know you have broken up many times before

I can’t help but wonder how final is once more

What will she say or do to get back in your heart

And how much longer will I play along before I get smart

I could wake up tomorrow and just walk away

And all of this would be a memory of yesterday

So before you lose all of what is important to you

A decision needs to be made about what’s right to do

Me or her you can’t have us both, one has to go

You’ve been procrastinating to long, this you know

Look inside and figure out who really makes you smile

It’s time to finalize the decision you’ve been putting off for a while

Once you’ve done this you’ll begin to see

How happy in life you truly can be
